I am not sure what I would do if I lived where I couldn't see great skies and miles of earth stretching out ahead and yet, I also love capturing the delicate beauty in the world of tiny leaves found in the western landscape.

About the Artist

Growing up on a Colorado ranch, artist, Lynne Milliken, had a front row seat watching weather rolling off the mountains and across the prairie.  Her fascination with skies started at a very young age and continued through college, children, and teaching art while perfecting her own technique and style.

Lynne now paints en plein air and in her studio creating works that reflect the powerful beauty of western land and skies.  Influenced by Russian impressionists and western landscape painters, she has collected field studies from the Rocky Mountain region and both coasts,  capturing moments of light and color in her impressionistic style.  As a member of Plein Air Artists Colorado,  Atlantic Plein Air Painters,  and Evergreen Artists Association, she participates in gallery shows and juried exhibitions and events throughout the year.
